Privacy Policy — NHI PriorAuth SIGNAL

Last updated: July 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how NHI PriorAuth SIGNAL, operated by Nexus Health Informatics, handles information. The App runs in a sandbox environment: all patient and authorization data is synthetic, and the App is not intended to receive real protected health information (PHI).

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in, we receive basic account information from our sign-in provider: a user identifier, email address, name, and profile image URL. The App also stores the synthetic prior authorization records and appeal drafts you create, and your selected role.

3. How Information Is Stored

Account data and synthetic records are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on our cloud infrastructure provider. Session tokens are stored securely on your device.

4. AI Processing

When you request a denial explanation or appeal draft, the synthetic details of that request (procedure, payer, denial reason, and the synthetic patient label) are sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic) via a managed gateway to generate the text. AI output is stored with the related record. Do not include real personal or health information in any field.

5. Interoperability Test Submissions

To demonstrate FHIR-based interoperability, the App submits synthetic Claim resources to the public HL7 HAPI FHIR test server (hapi.fhir.org). Data sent to that public test server should never include real personal information.

6. Notifications

With your permission, the App sends device notifications about status changes of your synthetic requests. You can revoke this permission in your device settings.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your information. Data is shared only with the service providers described above (database hosting, sign-in, AI processing, and the public FHIR test server) as needed to operate the App.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Synthetic records persist so you can evaluate the App across sessions. To request deletion of your account data, contact Nexus Health Informatics.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
